It was around the middle of the day on a Saturday, and I’d just finished my SAT’s.  My family was at some function for my little cousins on the other side of town, so I decided to pick up a few steaks and burgers and head to Mike’s house.  He usually didn’t wake up until about noon on Saturdays anyway, so I figured that at the very least, it’d be a good wake-up call.

When I got there, I knocked on the door, but nobody answered.  I knew he was home, so I tried calling, to no avail.  I went around back to check if his car was there, and to my surprise, there was Mike slaving away on the El Camino.  The thing was almost in pieces, and he was surrounded by a mountain range of auto accessories.

“Hey, Mike!”  He dropped a truck rack.

He wheeled out from under the car and wiped off his hands.  “What’s up, man?”

“Nothing.  I just finished my test, so I figured I’d come over and have some lunch.”  I held up the steaks and burgers.

“That is the greatest idea I’ve ever heard.  I’ve been working on this thing since about daybreak and haven’t eaten yet.  I only stopped for about an hour to go to the shop and raid the chrome truck accessories section.”  He pointed to the mound of shiny items behind him.  “Oh, I also got a brush guard.”  He pointed to the El Camino’s flatbed.

“Yeah, I saw that.  Let’s fire up the grill then”. Man those steaks were good, and just what I needed after a long day of taking tests!

You know, not all addiction treatment centers are strictly for people trying to kick an addiction to drugs or alcohol.  For example, some Florida drug treatment centers offer counseling to those who may be having a hard time mentally and may be suffering from depression, among other things. It offers a nice alternative to spending time in a mental hospital or institute. Also, since counseling method can be varied and what may work with you may not work with me, it offers a greater selection of treatment options.

Some Florida drug rehab centers are more of a counseling center specializing in alcohol and drug treatment.  I know when my son was having trouble we sought his treatment at a local Florida alcohol treatment center.  Was he an alcoholic?  No, he wasn’t.  But the facility offered a whole slew of treatment options and we thought it was the best place for him to be to get the help that he obviously needed.   He stayed for a couple of months and when he finally came home he had all the tools and support he needed to live a mentally healthy life.

I am a programmer and I have so much passion for creating useful software too many different tasks.

This late, I have had some luck because somebody is actually offering to market my software.  No, this is not some big time deal but at least I am starting somewhere.

The good thing with doing business in the IT industry is that one does not need to have a high capital.  The important thing to have is a real geeky IT skill and a great marketing.

My partner, the one who is offering to do the marketing, suggested that buy a disk printer so that we could label the DVD that contains the software.  In our research on the internet, we found out that DVD printers are not really expensive.  We found one for about $300 dollars and it is not so heavy on our pocket. 

The printer that we found prints fast so DVD printing will not take a huge chunk of our time.  With this, I can spend more time on my programming stuff and my partner can focus more on the marketing.

For now, we have a few positive prospects among educational institutions.  I hope the students who are really good in programming can venture into business as well.  I think that is where the real great career is.
