My baby sister knew from the moment her boyfriend asked her to marry him that she wanted a beach wedding.  She could imagine herself in a gauzy, light wedding dress walking towards the love of her life barefoot at sunset.  Once she decided on the beach by our parents’ cottage it seemed that the rest of the decision flowed easily.  She wanted a very simple wedding chocked full of elements of the beach and the outdoors.  She picked out gorgeous frangipani wedding invitations and decided to “beach them up” in a very unique way.  

She went to the shore and grabbed dozens of small beach stones and some beach glass.  She then glued them to each invitation before it went in the envelope. That way each guest had a piece of the wedding before it even happened.  It was my sister’s way of making her own beach wedding invitations and they turned out great.  When my sister realized she had beach glass left over she made each of her bridesmaids a necklace with it.

The wedding was gorgeous and exactly how my sister had imagined it. It was really the perfect beach wedding with lots of sand and sun and everybody had a great time.  And the wedding invitations?  A huge hit!
