When Lower Back Tattoos Become a Regret
By Pilot on Jun 28, 2008 in Society
The debate over whether or not tattoos with names are a good idea does not seem to be a subject that will be settled anytime soon. There is no doubt as to the seriousness of permanently applying a name in ink to one’s skin. While some feel it is not a risk worth taking, others feel it is no big deal as additional artwork can cover up a name with ease. More than a few have made the mistake of having a person’s name or initials emblazoned in large letters with lower back tattoos. A large tattoo on the back can sound good at the time but has its risks should a relationship dissolve. With tattoo removal sometimes costing hundreds by the square inch, one can be stuck in quite a quandary.
Getting a tattoo of a child or parent’s name is considered safer than opting for the name of a significant other. If an individual finds he or she really wants to get a tattoo to honor a loved one, a unique symbol is always a better idea. For many, heart tattoos are a much better idea and can be worn by both men and women. Small tasteful crosses and other religious tattoos are a great way to memorialize loved ones and older relatives that have passed on.
