I have been trying to get arrangements made to make a trip to Florida for my Aunt’s funeral and I have had so much difficulty getting everything in place.  The only problem I didn’t have was reserving a Fort Lauderdale car rental.

My job advised me that my bereavement leave did not include Aunts and Uncles so I had to reserve vacation time to attend the services.  Then, when I tried to book the flight the bereavement rates weren’t any less expensive then the regular flights on-line.  I was happy to find one of the Fort Lauderdale rental cars for less than most rentals so that will help the financial strain a great deal.  Death is often difficult and inconvenient because we rarely have an opportunity for foresight to plan for it.

I will be visiting some additional family in Orlando after my Aunt is taken care of and then I will return back home and back to work.  It is really convenient because I can drop the car off at the Orlando airport car rental.  At least I won’t have to rely on my family to drive me all the way to the airport in an already difficult time.
